3 teens arrested for cultism in Ogun, they reportedly are ‘confessed members of Eiye confraternity’

Sodiq Akeem,16, Adeniyi Clement,14 and  Rilwan Aina, 14, were arrested yesterday January 25 in Apeti area of Agbara, Ogun State for cultism.

The Police Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi in a statement said that the command’s anti-crime team led by the Divisional Police Officer Ayo Sonubi was just in time to stop the boys from an operation. “These young boys, who are so deep in cultism have confessed to be members of Eiye confraternity.”

Akeem is a student at Agbara High School, Clement, a vulcaniser and Aina, an apprentice tailor were caught with a locally made pistol and cartridges.

The Commissioner of Police, Okoye Ikemefuna has ordered a thorough investigation into the matter and get their other members arrested

He warned parents and guardians to warn their children or wards against cultism.

“The same goes to the school authorities particularly secondary schools in the area” .
