It is no longer news that media personality, Toke Makinwa, on the 15th of January became Mrs. Maje Ayida.

The secret wedding took everyone by surprise as one would think the open and very visible vlogger would opt for a large wedding that would be the talk of the town.

However, no wedding, whether small or big, goes without some measure of planning and preparation. That being said, here are 5 things you should know about Toke’s secret wedding:

1, The wedding dress was created by Nigerian designer, April by Kunbi and seeing as she must have had short notice and is not really known for making bridal gowns, it was a beautiful work of art indeed.

2, The proposal and wedding are said to have happened because Toke’s fitness guru beau, Maje Ayida was miserable after their very public breakup and he decided to not only ask her back into his life but to keep her there for good.

3, As secret as the wedding was, Toke was tweeting about it all along! The media personality was obviously bursting with happiness and couldn’t wait for the news to break.

4, The wedding was planned by the groom and took place at the Sofitel Moorhouse Hotel in Ikoyi, Lagos.

5, The ceremony was witnessed by about 10 close friends and a few family members including Maje’s brother and his wife – Abi & Ete Ayida and Toke’s best friend Arese Ugwu.
