If you aim to be lively and vibrant irrespective of your current age, here are simple tips/steps to turn your biological clock and make you forever young.

Stimulate the brain: The brain, like the rest of the body, needs exercise to avoid becoming sluggish and prone to diseases.The brain needs to be challenged to keep neurological pathways open. Learn a new language, read or give out information.Your brain can accomplish anything you set your mind to do, it starts up there, use it.

Protect your skin: The best way to protect your skin is by avoiding sunlight from 11a.m to 4 p.m. exposure to sunlight within this period leads to excess exposure of your skin to ultraviolet light which in turn breaks down skin collagen (fibers that keeps your skin firm). It is advisable to use creams that contain sunscreen and anti-oxidants. It is also advisable to have at least two baths daily and exfoliate your skin weekly.

Eat revitalizing foods: What we eat determines what we would become, to remain healthy and radiant it is wise to start every meal with a fruit/vegetable (especially the green ones) and to also drink a lot of water. As well as eating a lot of fish (strange right),studies have shown that fish oil contains omega 3-fatty acids which lowers the risk of heart diseases and also gives you a healthy skin.

Exercise regularly: Proper exercise involves you choosing an activity you are comfortable doing and doing it on a regular basis. Aerobic exercises are most beneficial as they help control loss of muscle strength and bone density thus making you less vulnerable to injuries.

Go to bed early: The only time your body can truly restore itself is when you are asleep. It is essential to have at least 7 hours of sleep every day.It is best you sleep on your back, as this prevents your face from being getting wrinkled. Adequate sleep gives you more energy, re-energize and revitalizes your body making your body and mind more vibrant.

Avoid stress: As difficult as this may seem, you could do certain things to avoid stress, find a way to relax at the end of every day, be it eventful or non-eventful. Play games as often as you can, laugh whenever you can. Give yourself regular treats, go to the spa, visit young ones and remain hopeful.

Remember the spirit: Studies have shown that religion/spirituality has a significant positive effect on physical health, whether it is through prayers/meditation or reading holy books. Particularly in the later years of life, spirituality has the power to elicit positive changes and favorable outcomes of events.
