Somebody (don’t) shout Halleluia: 82-year-old woman thrown out of train for singing hymns loudly (PHOTOS)

Emma Anderson, 82, was seen in a video being roughly removed from a Miami-Dade Transit commuter train for singing too loudly.

Shocking cell phone footage shows the moment a Florida transit security guard pulled an elderly woman off a commuter train for singing spiritual hymns too loudly, causing her to fall to the platform.

The sickening video shows the uniformed worker telling 82-year-old Emma Anderson to be quiet, before roughly grabbing her from her seat and throwing her out the door.

Trying to keep hold of her roller bag, she is seen falling backward onto the platform — with fellow passengers heard shouting and asking the security guard to tell them his name.

A commuter recorded the incident on his cell phone camera.

Cell phone footage captures the beginning of the confrontation between Anderson and the the still-unidentified security guard.

Anderson, who suffered a bruised hip and shoulder, told ABC she was singing a song when the guard informed her she was making too much noise.

“I was beating my little beads with the bottle and I was singing a song, and he came up to me,” Anderson added.

Despite the guard’s rough actions clearly being caught on camera, Miami-Dade Transit has defended him.

A spokesman told WPLG in a statement that Anderson refused to comply with its policy that outlawed singing, dancing or playing music on the train without a permit.

Here Anderson is still holding on to the bottom of her roller bag as the guard tugs at the top end, to the right.

He added that her singing was “causing a disturbance to other passengers and impeding important train announcements from being heard.”

The statement added: “We regret that Ms. Anderson had to eventually be escorted out, but regardless of age, all passengers need to abide by the rules associated with using transit.”

But her 42-year-old son, Kenny Anderson, says the footage proves she was “forcibly removed” and is now planning to sue the rail company.

He told ABC: “She was just singing to the Lord, preaching to the Lord, and he grabbed her bag and drug her off the train.”
