Goodness, the miracle baby who was rescued alive among several mangled bodies involved in the Abuja Monday bombing have finally reunited with his mother.

The 10-month old baby who sustained only minor injuries in the blast was thought to have lost her mother to deadly bombing which killed over 70 people with more than 150 people sustaining varying degrees of injury.

Reports say Goodness’ mother, Gloria Adams, a petty trader at the Nyanya bus stop, was taken to a separate hospital in the aftermath of the deadly attack.

Goodness was been treated for a swollen eye at the Asokoro Hospital but was yesterday taken to the Wuse General Hospital where her mother is receiving treatment in the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit.

The miracle baby who spent most of yesterday sleeping is being taken care of by her aunt, Maria Dominic who cannot hide her joy at the family’s good fortune.

Gloria had told hospital staff that she was carrying her baby on her back when the explosion occurred.

The hospital source quoted her as saying, “I cannot remember how I got here.  I only saw myself on the ground, turning and turning. Then someone came and removed my baby from my back.”

The source said Gloria was very happy to see her baby alive.

“I’m feeling better. Many have died; but I am alive. I give glory to God, for saving me and my little baby,” she told the hospital workers.

We wish her and Goodness speedy recovery.
