UPDATE:

Ebonyi state Government house was thrown into chaos and disorder around 11:00am on Monday morning as the impeached speaker of the house of assembly, Rt. Hon Chukwuma Nwazunku attempted to see the Governor of the state, Martin Elechi.
The 18 lawmakers who had impeached Hon. Nwazunku at 6:30 am had also led a delegation to meet with the state governor, which coincided with the arrival of the impeached speaker.

The commotion which almost led to a physical confrontation was narrowly prevented by the arrival of security operatives who averted and quelled the uproar, and subsequently took the speaker to a corner away from the angry lawmakers.
One of the legislators, Hon Enyi C Enyi, addressed journalists saying that the new Speaker, Hon Helen Obasi representing Abakaliki South is the legitimate Speaker.
