Nollywood actress and AMAA winner Rita Dominic was in the audience spreading some star dust at the live eviction show on Sunday but it probably did nothing to change the fortunes of Fatima and Hakeem as they were sent home in a tense session.

The night began with Tanzania’s Wakazi performing some of his hit singles. The camera then zeroed in on host IK Osakioduwa as he began his usual routine of putting housemates on the edge.

Malawian lass Fatima scored the least votes per country and was the first housemate to be evicted. Betraying no emotions whatsoever, Fatima was shown clips of her stay in the house and chatted briefly with IK about the experience. ‘’no drama, no drama. It’s not about you, chill out’’ she reprimanded compatriot Natasha who was about to start acting out.

Hunky Hakeem was the surprise eviction of the night as he wasn’t nominated initially but was a victim of Melvin’s save and replace decision. Melvin was obviously uncomfortable and inconsolable, asking God to forgive him for putting Hakeem up for eviction.

Hakeem was quite emotional and confessed his love for Cleo insisting that everything he felt was real.

The previous night, EME DJ Xclusive was on the wheels of steel and entertained the housemates thoroughly as they all loosened up. Before long, aided by the music and the liquor, Beverly was cozying up to dread locked Angelo and they engaged in a steamy make out session. She soon got to her senses though and kicked the South African out of her bed.

There was some post-party drama in the house as the Ruby housemates accused their colleagues from the Diamond house who came to party of stealing their drinks. It was quite the row and took only the intervention of Biggie for the mates to calm down.

Last week’s evictees Bolt and Maria discussed life outside the camp with Bolt once more confessing his love for Betty. Maria said she couldn’t wait to hook up with her pals Sulu, Dillish and Bassey.

Big Brother was once again up to his bag of tricks as he introduced a fake Emerald house mate and convinced the housemates they had more competition.

With all the romantic pairs getting the boot, The Chase is shaping up to be one of the most exciting seasons in recent times. Stay with us for more.
