Chinonso Writes! Always tell yourself the truth per time

If your dream right now requires strike, do it! If it requires wait, do it. But make sure you’re telling yourself the truth per time.

There are two flanks to a coin, just like there are two flanks to a sentence. For example, if I say to you, “I am coming,” then the other flank will be, “I am not coming,” isn’t it? And the permutation of these two flanks gives birth to what I call the probabilistic equilibrium of a subject or an object. Probabilistic equilibrium is what makes humans or organizations sometimes view life or the marketplace with an aura of certainty, but that’s only optical illusion. But is one flank better or stronger than the other? Well, literally, my answer is no…until proven otherwise by time. ‘I am coming’ is no way better or stronger than ‘I am not coming’. (Except you’re talking about His second coming) The power only lies in you knowing when to use which. Simply put, when is stronger and revealing than which.

Okay, let’s run this experiment on another two flanks: strike and wait. For a General leading a battalion to war, these two flanks make up his battle toolkit, hence he must master the art of when to deploy which—an art that can decide his victory or defeat. A CEO trying to grow his organization or introduce a new product into the market must know when to strike and when to wait. A parent trying to raise a responsible child must know when to strike and when to wait. A security man trying to catch a criminal must know when to strike and when to wait. A vision bearer—now, I am actually talking about you—must know when to strike and when to wait for his season!

Taking about a visionary and his season, there is a question worth answering: “Must I always strike or wait?” Well, I have a problem with the use of the word ‘always’. It is too definite. Like I posited, the power lies in your when. At each point, you’ve the ability to strike and the ability to wait. But the real meat lies in knowing when to use either. Therefore, as you read this piece, what flank should you deploy right now towards your great dream? Strike or wait? If your dream right now requires strike, do it! If it requires wait, do it. But make sure you’re telling yourself the truth per time.
