Curves, a beach, and (yes), a bikini: Mary J Blige like you’ve never seen her before (PHOTOS)

She’s just wrapped up filming her latest movie in chilly New York City.

So Mary J. Blige welcomed the sunshine as she stepped out on the sand in Puerto Rico on Sunday in a figure-flattering Melissa Odabash bikini that hugged her famous curves.

The No More Drama singer put her well-toned physique to work as she ran toward the shore, leaving her friends in the dust.

The 42-year-old proudly flaunted her body ink, showing off a floral tattoo on her upper right thigh as well as another on her left shoulder.

But her excitement for a quick dip was short lived, as she looked taken aback by the chilly water.

The holiday comes after Blige wrapped up production in New York on her latest film Black Nativity.

The movie is a re-telling of the Bible’s nativity story and co-stars Jennifer Hudson, Angela Bassett and Forest Whitaker.

Blige, who has won nine Grammy awards over the years, lends both her vocal and acting talents to the upcoming musical.

This is not the first film Blige has appeared in.

The Be Without You singer starred in Tyler Perry’s box-office hit I Can Do Bad All By Myself.

She has also received two Golden Globe nominations for her musical contributions to the films Bobby and The Help.
