A close friendship has been ended by the cold hands of death after a Mexican teenager stabbed her best friend to death.

16-year-old Erandy Elizabeth Gutierrez stabbed her friend, Anel Baez, also 16, 65 times because the latter posted naked photos of them together on Facebook.

The victim is said to have invited her friend, whom she referred to as her sister, over to her home to work things out.

However, Gutierrez took the opportunity to take revenge on her friend for the humiliation she suffered and she attacked her with a knife and killed her.

She fled the scene and was arrested by police at Baez’s funeral several days later. She will be charged as a juvenile according to Mexican law.
