Gov. Chime is not dead – Enugu Gov’t

by Hauwa Gambo

Rumours intensified over the weekend that Sullivan Chime, the Enugu governor who has been abroad for many weeks now with no information as to his health or whereabouts, had passed.

Some media reported that he had passed on at ano Indian hospital on Sunday, after a protracted illness.

However the state government came out yesterday to deny the rumours.

The state’s Commissioner for Information, Chucks Ugwuoke in a statement called the rumours “unfounded and malicious.”

According to him, the governor is doing well and will soon return to the state – after his “vacation”.
