Fright night came early this year for a town in Arkansas.

A machete-wielding man reportedly announced that Satan was within him before hacking two people to death in Fort Smith on Wednesday night.

The victims were drinking beer on their front porch when suspect Gregory Aaron Kinsey walked by carrying grocery bags. After a terse exchange, the 20-year-old reached behind his back and whipped out a large knife.

Police described the gruesome scene that followed as something “out of a horror movie,” KFSM reports.

A witness who was standing on the porch with victims Nathan Young, 32, and Brandon Prince, 39, told police that he spotted the pale faced man with long, stringy black hair emerge from a nearby alley.

Kinsey was reportedly on his way back from the Dollar Store when he thought he spotted his mother’s ex-lover. He started peering into a backyard, but the three men on the porch confronted him and demanded to know what his intentions were.

During the argument, a witness heard Kinsey mention the “Satan that’s within him.”

Then, Kinsey pulled out his machete.

Kinsey reportedly told police that killing the two men was like “watching a movie.”

The men tried to move back, but Kinsey followed them and started hacking away.

Prince’s two children, aged 15 and 2, were inside the house during the attack. Their horrified screams filled the air, but didn’t seem to bother the alleged killer.

According to court documents, Kinsey told police that he had a “clear mind” during the assault and that once the violence started, “it was like he was watching a movie.”

The savagery continued until an eyewitness threw a block of wood at the suspect. Kinsey then stopped in his tracks and ran away from the scene.

Fort Smith police arrived to find Prince’s body on the front porch and Young’s body lying in blood-stained grass near the home.

Investigators tracked Kinsey back to his mother’s house. They seized the machete believed to be used in the attack.

Kinsey doesn’t have a previous criminal record and had no connection to the two victims, Sgt. Daniel Grubbs told KFSM.

“You can’t explain evil behavior like that,” Grubbs said.

Kinsey will be charged with two counts of capital murder, a Fort Smith prosecutor said.
