She may be broke but Lindsay Lohan has turned down an offer to appear on the BBC’s prestigious, Dancing with the Stars, ‘because she doesn’t want to do reality TV.’
TMZ are reporting that sources close to the 26-year-old say she has been made several offers to join the DWTS cast this upcoming season – with some of the deals tendered being around the $550,000 mark.
But Lindsay turned them down, despite her mounting back taxes, because she wants to concentrate on making movies.
A spokesperson for DWTS told TMZ: ‘We don’t comment on casting.’
Lindsay is in financial dire straits as a result of a huge tax bill, ongoing legal troubles and her dying acting career.
It was recently revealed she was paid just $100 a day to star in The Canyons and equal share of the profits.
But it’s unlikely the low-budget independent film, which features porn star James Deen, will be a big money spinner for her given it has just been rejected by the Sundance Film Festival.
Lindsay has received a few lifelines though – she was given $100,000 by her Scary Movie 5 co-star Charlie Sheen last year to help pay off her tax debt.
She was also paid $100,000 to attend a party in London to celebrate a Prince of Brunei’s birthday party.
But with no meaty movie roles on the horizon and a troubling reputation to boot, Lindsay might want to rethink what she’s willing to do.
