The gaze of the world is currently focused intently on Nigeria and who better to epitomize this than the wife of the most powerful president of the free world, Michelle Obama.

The US first lady lent her voice to local and international calls for the release of about 276 schoolgirls abducted on April 14, in Chibok, Borno, North east Nigeria by men suspected to be members of the deadly Boko Haram Islamic sect.

Mrs. Obama is pictured holding up a sign displaying the now iconic hashtag, #BringBackOurGirls. It came with the caption: Our prayers are with the missing Nigerian girls and their families. It’s time to#BringBackOurGirls. -mo

She is doing this after the President Barack Obama expressed America’s commitment to assist Nigeria militarily in rescuing the missing girls. Barack and Michelle Obama have two lovely daughters, Sasha and Malia who are right about the same age as the hundreds of girls kidnapped from their school dormitories in Chibok. The world awaits their safe return.
