Less than 24 hours to the Osun State gubernatorial debate. Some youth organizations decided to host a televised debate for five selected gubernatorial candidates in Osun State ahead of the August 9 governorship election. The debate, organized by the Osun Pro-Democracy Youth (OPDY), LYNX Nigeria, and Enough is Enough Nigeria (EiE Nigeria) chose the invited participants based on the results from an online poll.

Participants include – Rauf Aregbesola, the incumbent governor and candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC); Iyiola Omisore, Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP); Fatai Akinbade, Labour Party (LP); Segun Akinwusi, Social Democratic Party (SDP) and Ibrahim Adeoti, Unity Party of Nigeria (UPN), who was invited to the debate on the basis of being the youngest of the 20 governorship aspirants.

The headline of the debate has been the unconfirmed attendance of Iyiola Omisore. See below some of his argument with EIE Nigeria via tweets from his offcial Twitter account (@iyiosun).
