It has been revealed that last night’s bomb blast in Kaduna occurred near the home of Sheik Dahiru Bauchi, a prominent Nigerian Islamic scholar of the Tijjaniya sect.
Mohammed Ibrahim, a member of Tijjaniya, said the bomb must have been targeted at their leader, Sheik Bauchi, whose Kaduna home is close to the scene of the explosion.
“There is a likelihood that it was targeted at our leader, Sheik Dahiru Bauchi and the entourage, we are volunteers and know what we are saying.
“Many of us pass through [the area of the explosion] daily with our leader. Today it happened after we had returned from our mosque in Tudun Wada,” he told SaharaReporters.
Meanwhile several were injured in the attack and have been taken to hospitals for treatments.
