Movie trailer: ‘Headmasters’ a short movie about the irony of the Nigerian dream

‘Headmasters’ is the captivating story of two friends in Surulere who find themselves in a bit of a rough spot after a heist gone wrong. Set against a problematic economic and political development most recently the Nigerian Senate decision to outlaw same-sex marriage in the country. The film explores a very poignant topic in today’s society which is the irony of the Nigerian dream, and asks the question just how much would you do for cash.

With the full short film scheduled for release in December 2012, audiences are encouraged to participate in the process through volunteering, fund-raising, and donations through the Film’s Kickstarter page. Audience and critics alike are set to be mesmerized by stellar performances by a crop of new and talented actors. Auditions for casting took place in Lagos in the month of December 2011 with an impressive turnout.

The 30-minute cliff hanger will be shot in HD, and is written and directed by London Film school masters candidate, Tolu Itegboje, and produced by Lopesided Works.
