A 32-year-old man Jibril Adamu has told a Grade 1 Upper Area Court in Mararaba that his wife Aisha was  snatched by his best friend,  Halilu Lawal, 35, by hypnotism.

Adamu a resident of Gurku Cassa village, Mararaba, Nasarawa State, testified in court that Lawal was the reason why his wife lost interest in their 15-year-old marriage.

He said Lawal deceived his wife into believing that the love charm he gave her was for protection.

Vanguard reports:

“He gave her a charm and deceived her that it was for protection not knowing that it was a love portion charm.

“My wife went and told her mother about it, and her mother in turn told me.

“I took the matter to the head of our village and there he admitted that truly he charmed my wife,” Adamu said.

In his testimony, Lawal denied the allegations, saying: “I am not responsible for Adamu’s wife leaving him.

After listening to both parties, the presiding judge, Mr Albert Maga, adjourned the case until April 1 for continuation of hearing.

He urged both parties to bring their witnesses to court on the adjourned date.

Adamu had instituted a suit against the accused on March 19 over an alleged intentional insult and cheating.
