Authorities say Travis Cook, 21, was found in possession of 28 images of child pornography and fathered a child with a 16-year-old live-in girlfriend.

A Pennsylvania man has been arrested on child pornography charges three months after authorities say he fathered a child with a 16-year-old in her grandparent’s home.

Travis Cook, 21, of Harrisburg was arrested and held on $100,000 bail Thursday after Google reported his alleged Gmail account’s upload of child pornography to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children in early March.

The Allegheny County District Attorney’s Office says a search of Cook’s computer last week uncovered 28 images of child pornography. Some of the male and female children in the pictures appeared to be as young as six years old and were engaged in sexual activity.

Cook admitted that he had viewed at least 14 of the pictures, the Sharon Herald reports.

During the search of his home, say police, they also discovered he had been living with the underage girl, who claimed she met him when she was 13 and that they started having sex when she was 15.

Cook confirmed the girl’s story to detectives and admitted to trolling the Internet for child porn using keywords, “teen sex” and “school girls,” according to the Herald.

According to a Facebook profile seen belonging to Cook he fathered at least one other child in late 2011.

Both that child and the age of the child’s mother could not be confirmed by local authorities.

A woman identifying herself as Cook’s mother on Facebook expressed herself as blindsided by the charges, writing: “I wanted to get you help but nobody would listen to me when you guys were younger so maybe I am the one to blame.”

Cook was charged Friday with statutory sexual assault, unlawful contact with a minor, indecent assault, criminal use of a computer and possession of 28 child porn images.

He has a preliminary hearing set for Wednesday in Pine Township.
