“Only one cup? I beg” – Is Osaze Odemwingie attacking Keshi (again)?

Osaze

by Isi Esene

Osaze Odemwingie has taken some time to vent on the social media network, Twitter, in tweets which appeared to be directed at Super Eagles coach, Stephen Keshi.

He also used the opportunity to explain his disagreement with former Super Eagles player and coach, Samson Siasia.

The striker, who was dropped from the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) gold winning Super Eagles team, explained their difference saying it was due to his club commitment.

He, however, appeared to taunt the current Super Eagles coach, Stephen Keshi, when he insinuated that even a successful coach’s job is temporary.

“…a coach the country is praising now will one day be sacked and to his achievements they ll say: only one cup ? I beg,” he tweeted.

“I changed my mind I am not doing anything haha. To cut the story short. That’s life. U self pack your own and go ! No be so ?”

Osaze later deleted the tweets and replaced it with another tweeting, “Lets pretend none of those tweets ever came. Must I always share ? I tire for my self.”

  1. More people would learn from their mistakes if they weren’t so busy denying them

  2. I dont know who to blame for this kind of post, maybe Ynaija or the guy that posted it. Why are you people trying to destroy this guy’s career? This is now exactly what he said.He was only saying Nigerian football association is not being managed well. That very soon they will sack Keshi and be saying is it not just 1 cup that he won… He said that they need to start having plans for old Nigerian players after football. That most of them always live miserably after serving the country because the NFF doesnt have a plan for then. He also said that Nigeria billionaires should try to invest more in sport and it shouldnt be that they are only out to give them money only when they win tournaments that they need to invest more in sports. …
And about the “I changed my mind I am not doing anything haha. To cut the story short. That’s life. U self pack your own and go ! No be so ?” part, he only said that jokingly after he first tweeted that he has some plans going on with some guy on how to improve football in Nigeria…(In a way of giving back to the society)… You people should always get your facts right

  3. atlist a cup is a cup what is whot doin is what doin well

  4. Very gud wot so eva man soeth that’s wot he shall reapeth, so if osaze play well they wouldn’t hv drop him or dumb him. U pple should bd careful oo

  5. Osaze should just go to sleep and close his dirty Mouth. We have heard enough from him. Is he the only Nigerian footballer that was dropped? What is his achievement in football? What clubs of prestige and note has he played for? Who is even Osaze? Look at the blunder he committed in his club on transfer day deadline. Soon he will end up in the lower leagues like his mates.

    1. Fracis uare just on point. Who is osaze ?I can sense anger and jealousy in his tone. If he was a good and dedicated player he won’t be dropped.my guy osaze go and rest or hit ur head on d wall!

    2. Leave osaze alone please he is saying the truth.

  6. Pls read Osaze’s tweets above, Stephen K, super eagle’s coach.

  7. I think its high time we had accurate and unbiased journalism especially through the internet. I personally follow Osaze on twitter and from what he said, he wasn’t attacking Stephen Keshi in any way, he was just sharing what every Nigerian interested in sports know already. I believe journalists can do a lot better than create unwarranted war-of-words just in the name of selling. please lets do a thorough job!

  8. why are u guys trying to destroy this guy’s career before it’s over. IT WASN’T AN ATTACK ON KESHI. HE WAS JUST TALKING ABOUT NAIJA FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION IN GENERAL. AND HE ALSO ENCOURAGES THEM TO TAKE GOOD CARE OF THEIR PLAYERS AFTER RETIREMENT. WHY DO U GUYS THINK STEPHEN KESHI RETIRED IN THE FIRST PLACE. COS OF THE WAY THE NFF TREATED HIM ABEG FREE THE GUY.
