Prophet Obadare finally laid to rest in Osun

The remains of renowned evangelist and founder of World Soul Winning Evangelistic Ministry (WOSEM), Prophet Timothy Oluwole Obadare was yesterday interred at Ilekki, Ilesa, Osun state amidst prayers and words of exhortation for all Christians to emulate the virtues of the late clergyman.

The WOSEM Shiloh, where the multi million naira mausoleum is located, played host to clergymen from Christ Apostolic Church denomination, top officials of Osun state government and adherents of Christian faith from within the country and abroad.

While addressing the gathering, Osun State Governor, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, who led other top government functionaries to the event said state government decided to spare no cost in celebrating the late Prophet because he lived life worthy of celebration, having risen above his disability of lack of sight to make big impact on lives of people.

Aregbesola added that the life and times of the Ilesa-born Prophet have several lessons for people to draw from, saying the dedication he demonstrated in managing his ministry and winning souls for Christ should be copied by everyone that have dreams  of reaching the peak in whatever endeavor one is involved.

He said the economic benefits of having the final resting place of Obadare in Osun state is enormous because of tourism potentials it has, adding that pilgrims and tourists that will be visiting the place henceforth will add economic value to Osun state.

“Prophet Obadare is an epitome of wisdom in evangelistic world and his legacies will remain indelible on the sound of time. The lesson his departure thought us is that any position you are, dedication and faithfulness are necessary for success to be guaranteed.

“His life thought us that whatever obstacle that comes one’s way should not debar but must strengthened one’s resolve to be successful. What God endow us to do, we must do it with our best ability”, he concluded.

Prayers were offered by clergymen for the family of the late clergyman, his ministry and Osun state in general.

To keep alive memories of many miracles and teachings of Prophet Obadare, endowment fund for the establishment of a television station where all his teachings will be aired, was launched by Bishop Sam Thompson, while people were encouraged to donate for the establishment of the station to honour the late Prophet.
