Report: Pan-African University to begin classes in Nigeria this September

The Pan-African University is scheduled to begin academic activities, in September, 2012.

In a report by the Punch, Minister of Education, Prof. Ruqayyatu Rufa’i, made the announcement at the Conference of African Ministers of Education in Abuja on Friday after they had reached an agreement.

The Minister explained that University of Ibadan would host one of the first three institutes of PAU-Institute for Life and Earth Sciences while the other two institutes are to be located in Cameroon and Kenya.

 “Curriculum has been developed, and there is already a call for students, for the first intake. Classes will commence in September 2012,” she said.

The conference ended with Nigeria assuming the leadership of the organisation.
