A man charged with protecting citizens is instead alleged to have threatened the lives of two women after he raped them at gunpoint.
33-year-old security guard, Alex Theophilus was arrested and charged with the offence of rape before a Magistrate court sitting in the Ojokoro area of Lagos.
The accused is said to have had forceful intercourse with two salesgirls who were returning home from work.

The accused, a resident at No. 21, Four Square St., Abule-Egba, Lagos, is standing trial on a three-count charge of assault, theft and rape.
Though, the accused pleaded not guilty to the charges, the prosecutor, Insp. Lugard Ahonle told the court that the accused committed the offences on Feb. 2 at Saale area of Iju-Ishaga, Lagos, at 11.30 p.m.
“Theophilus was on duty when the two salesgirls — Shakirat Adeniyi and Adetola Obileye – were returning from work before he swooped on them. The accused, who was armed with a gun threatening to kill the salesgirls, forcefully had a carnal knowledge of them,” he said.
According to the prosecutor, Theophilus also stole a Blackberry phone valued at N35, 000 and N22, 000 from the girls. He said the offences contravened Sections 56, 134 and 171 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011.
The Magistrate, Taiwo Akanni, granted the accused bail in the sum of N300, 000 with two sureties in like sum.
She adjourned the case to March 24 for mention.
He probably led them to a building or a house in which they'll quietly obey bcos he has a gun. Lock 1 up while he has carnal knowledge of da other and vice versa. My concern is, if he is found guilty, he shld be punished.
This story is crap. Does d security man have 2 p***ses? Its nt possible for him alone to rape 2 grown up girls. its either there was a 2nd security man who held d gun@ d girls while d other carried on d act or the 2 girls gave in willing. Pls pple help me o. As he was wt one d other wud hv ran off or tried to defend d other. I just don't understand this story .
