It’s the television commercial everyone’s talking about! The MTN number portability advert featuring “Saka” who hitherto used to exist on Etisalat adverts was produced by the good guys at MTN’s creative agency, DDB.

DDB Lagos won the MTN account in 2006; the agency was founded 26 years ago by brand veteran, Enyi Odigbo. The agency, said to be one of the few in Nigeria that have “since crossed the billions billings’ mark”, was in October last year announced winner of the ‘Luerzer’s Archive Print Ad of the Week.’ Luerzer’s Archive is regarded one of the world’s leading advertising magazines.

Interestingly, in what is a first for a major ad, the campaign was first launched on Youtube, before anywhere else.
