    If only

   We could reattach

   The amputated limbs

   The dismembered bodies

1.Mangled limbs

Blood droplets

Souls screaming

In shock

Cars burning

Roofs crumbling

The survivors watching

Police watching

2.People running

All praying

That this madness

Had better been a dream

Mournful sirens

Rent the atmosphere

The packing began

Of lifeless bodies

3.If only

We could reattach

The amputated limbs

The dismembered bodies

If only

We could quench the blaze

We could have prevented the explosion

If only

4.We want a goverment

That acts

Not one

That just reacts

We want evil

Prevented & forever silenced

The rescue efforts after attacks

Now smells like mercy after death

5.Nigeria

Is harbouring a Judas

Who shares our breakfast

Tastes our lunch

Swallows our dinner

Shares our bed

And whenever he betrays us with a kiss

Another bomb goes off

6.Jonathan

Help us find this Judas

Before

He ruins us all

He’s about planting another kiss

On our cheeks again

Deaths follow his betrayal

He must be stopped

7.We can’t see

Improvements yet

We can’t hear

Sounds of victory,albeit distant

We are not blind

We are not deaf

The horror is enough

We’ve had enough dark days
