According to online news platform, Sahara Reporters, a Nigerian citizen Onimisi Ciaxon who tweeted six photos of the Boko Haram jail break after control had been regained by the security agents has been arrested by the State Security Services (SSS).

Ciaxon was arrested on March 30, 2014 after he was caught tweeting photos of the events that took place when the SSS had regained control of the situation and according to Sahara Reporters he has been in detention for 10 days.

Mr. Onamisi took a photo of a soldier he had offered a bottle of water  and tweeted about it to give an accurate explanation of the incident which occurred that day.

Sahara Reporters wrote:

The SSS was reportedly miffed by one of the photos, which showed how its officers recaptured one of the escaped detainees, who were later summarily executed by officers. The SSS stated that 21 detainees died after a firefight, in the efforts to bring the jail breakers under control.

Several sources said Mr. Onimisi is an employee of the defunct power company, Power Holding Company of Nigeria (PHCN) at the Presidential Villa substation.
