TERRY G BUILDS N30 MILLION MANSION IN LAGOS

Gabriel Amanyi famously known as Terry G is arguably one of Nigeria’s most controversial musicians. The ‘akpako master’ is about to complete his own house. The plot of land is at Iju, Ifako-Ijaiye local government area of Lagos State, and the talented entertainer has spent millions of naira in building a seven-bedroom bungalow on the land. He is spending N30 million on it after which he will begin work on his other lands in Abuja, Ikorodu and his village in Benue State. He also disclosed that his finance is currently pregnant and is expected to give birth during winter in the UK.

 

 

 

TOBI PREMIERES IN GRAND STYLE

The highly anticipated premiere of the movie might have come and gone but the memories and the moments on the red carpet of the event will remain fresh in the minds of celebrities, fans and members of the fourth estate of the realm who were in attendance. Shortly after the red carpet started, the night turned out not only colorful but came alive with activities as actors, actresses, models, on-air personalities and a broad spectrum of guests stormed the Ozone Cinema, Yaba, Lagos. The likes of Benita Nzeribe, Jide Kosoko, Monalisa Chinda, Nikki Laoye, Crozz, Susan Peters and others witnessed the premiere of the movie on May 18, 2012 an event they were delighted to attend. The red carpet climaxed when the producer of the movie, Emmanuel Ijeh arrived the venue in the company of the movie’s American lead actor, Mark Williams who played the role of Tobi as well as Nigeria’s U.S based actress, Chisom Oz-Lee. After the red carpet, guests moved into the cinema hall to catch a glimpse of the movie that was shot in New York and New Jersey.

“I WILL EVENTUALLY MARRY MY BABY MAMA” – TIMAYA

On Monday May 21, 2012, popular dancehall act, Timaya became a father for the first time with the birth of his baby, Emmanuela, by his actress girlfriend, Barbara. Since then, Timaya has not ceased to tell whoever cares to listen that this is the best thing to have happened to him. Expressing how happy he is at the moment, Timaya has been posting several photographs of himself and the baby as display picture on his BlackBerry Messenger and has also made several comments on Twitter. He chose to have a quite naming ceremony for several reasons on May 28, 2012, but above all is the choice of the mother of the child to have a low profile christening ceremony. The Baylesa-born singer has made up his mind to marry this lady who has made him a father, as they now live together. He confessed last week that Barbara has all that he desires in a woman and that he will eventually marry her when the time is right.

 

 

 

FORMER CADBURY MD, BUNMI ONI, JOINS GLOBACOM

The former MD/CEO of Cadbury Nigeria Plc, Bunmi Oni has joined telecom company, Globacom. After 29 years of service in Cadbury making him one of the top men in the multinational firm, Oni has resumed work at Globacom. Oni’s assumption of duty came in the wake of the long absence of Globacom MD, Jameel Mohameed, who has been away from work since December 2011. Oni left Cadbury under a dark cloud and has taken them to court. The big question on his assumption of his new duty in Globacom is will he fill Jameel’s void?

 

MONALISA, JACKIE, DESMOND AND JOE BENJAMIN GRACE HOLLYWOOD MAGAZINE

Nollywood is doing it big and really making strides on the global stage, thanks in no small part to the actors and actresses (in particular), who have made a name for themselves in the industry. In the most recent edition of the Hollywood Magazine, the front page was reserved for our own Nollywood stars featuring Desmond Elliot, Monalisa Chinda, Jackie Appiah and Joseph Benjamin. The international all gloss magazine explored Nollywood in its current edition as it featured interviews from some of its leading stars.
