Tawose Olajumoke Elizabeth: Entwined – With them, but in spite of them (30 Days, 30 Voices)

by Tawose Olajumoke Elizabeth

entwined

Nightmares,
Lived and thought in them.
Satisfied,
I used to grace in them.

Life,
Came and went with them.
Magnified,
I saw myself in them.

Sight,
Saw and cried with them.
Glorified,
I used to dwell in them.

Home,
Dwelt and hoped in them.
Exemptfied,
I stay alone with them.

Journey,
Took a walk with them.
Revealing,
I found myself in them.

Revelation,
Re-created myself in them.
Joyfilling,
I used to grin at them.

Happiness,
Was short when I looked at them.
Dumbfounded,
I used to wonder about them.

Saddened,
Pressed to the wall by them.
Distressed,
I cried when I saw them.

Pains,
Lived and died with them.
In phobia
I dared not dig by them.

Fear,
Lived and thought like them.
Constrained,
I was nothing without them.

Thoughts,
Lost myself in them.
Pondering,
I weighed my life in them.

Then

Dare
Damned the life of them
Determined
I chose to grow in them

They,
Love held no meaning for them.
Love,
Grew though I tried not to love them.

Grace,
Gave a path aside them.
Lost,
I chose the path beside them.

Faith,
Sowed a seed in them.
Though thin,
I chose to thrive in them.

Seeds,
Grew in bits with them.
Fruits,
I ate some sweets of them.

Death,
Hurt to let go of them.
Life,
Was given another chance by them!

Fact,
I have to die to them.
Truth,
I only grow because of them.

Man,
Did not know many of them.
Gifts,
Of words alone by them.

Enriched,
I look back at all of them.
Grateful,
I am happy with what I learned from them.

Mirror,
I stare away from them.
Shadow,
They no longer lurk with them.

Freedom,
To look and not see them.
Victory,
I have finally over them.

Sight,
I see anew with them.
Hope,
I dare anew with them.

Dawn,
The breaking of another day for them.
Dusk,
The fall of the never part of them.

Night,
Has rolled its sheets over them.
Day,
Has spread a new carpet for them.

Favour,
Has put me in high places for them.
They,
Are the same I use to tell the world about them.

So,

Nightmares,
Of the world are healed by the knowledge of them.
By me,
The world can see the phases of them.

Power,
They have lost over them.
Strength,
They will also have because of them.

Mirror,
We stand and stare before them.
Sight,
We see ourselves re-birthed in them.
