Reality TV star Kim Kardashian is set to file for divorce today from Kris Humphries, her basketball player husband of 72 days.

Confirming the report via his twitter handle earlier today, Ryan Seacrest, producer of Kim’s hit reality TV show Keeping up with the Kardashians wrote: “Yes @KimKardashian is filing for divorce this morning. I touched base with her, getting a statement in just a few mins.”

Other folks have also taken to Twitter, where the news has spread rapidly, to air their opinions.

According to entertainment site, TMZ, Kim is expected to site ”irreconcilable differences” as reason for the separation which will start from today.

Kim, 31 and Kris, 26 tied the knot in a much-hyped ceremony in August and received over $17million from media coverage for the lavish event.

This will be Kim’s second marriage to end in divorce.
