A shark is usually the last thing one wants  to see at the beach.

But if one designer has her way, the fearsome  fish looks set to be making a splash on sunloungers and seasides everywhere this  summer.

The Sharkini, by Bad Aby Designs, is a gray  swimsuit with a jaw-shaped cut-out at the midriff, complete with white  leatherette teeth.

The made-to-order costume, which costs $100  apiece, is certainly fun, but it does have its drawbacks.

Those without a washboard stomach should  proceed with caution – that cutaway ‘bite’ will not be forgiving.

And, as Jezebel wisely warns: ‘Your tan lines  may look a little fishy.’

Those that do decide to take the plunge will  have to wait three to four weeks for their new swimsuit – but it promises to be  worth the wait. Each order can be customized with different colorways and  shoulder straps – you can even alter the type of padding at the bust.
