Bode Pedro was the winner of the 2011 edition of The Future Awards Africa in the category of Business Owner of The Year. He is the founder, chief executive officer and chief technical officer of VEDA Technology, a company he started with the vision “to inspire the growth and development of computer technology in Africa through cutting-edge innovation and excellent solutions.”

The company was formed in 2009, when Pedro was 25. At the time, Veda Technology was 1 of only the 4 local computer manufacturers in Nigeria. As the Chief Executive Officer, Bode Pedro is tasked with overseeing the company’s business strategy and national market penetration with an expected 40% compound annual growth in sales in for the year, 2011.

Pedro and his management team initiated the key to VEDA’s remarkable growth — the Efficient Supply Chain Business Model. In 2009, Bode Pedro received the Young IT & Telecoms Entrepreneur of the Year Award at the Nigerian Telecoms Awards held in Lagos, Nigeria, becoming the youngest ever recipient of this prestigious award. In 2010, he became an associate of the Nigerian Leadership Initiative (NLI) where the Minister of Finance, Mr. Olusegun Oluwatoyin Aganga is the Patron. He married Bella Naija’s Uche Eze in 2012.
