“The wedding is off!” – 13 celebs who were left at the altar (PHOTOS)

Crystal Harris left Hugh Hefner brokenhearted last year when she called off their nuptials five days before the big day.

“The wedding is off. Crystal has had a change of heart,” Hefner tweeted on June 14, 2011.

But now, after rekindling their romance in June 2012, Harris, 26, and Hefner, 86, are set to tie the knot on New Year’s Eve and have officially obtained their marriage license.

Still, Hef must have been devastated when his wife-to-be became a runaway bride.

Here are 12 other celebrities who were left at the altar:

The couple ended their relationship completely after the broken engagement. BUT, a year later they rekindled their romance and are set to wed on New Year’s Eve 2012.

Roberts shocked the world when she broke up with Sutherland just three days before the ceremony and ran off with his best friend, actor Jason Patric. Friends said Sutherland was “shocked” by the split, but more than a decade later, he said, “I commend Julia for seeing how young and silly we were, even as painful and difficult as it was.”
