In the past few weeks, we have featured four upcoming fashion designers in YNaija’s Cutting Edge series.
We’ve had Ajima Ogbole who is doing amazing stuff with her label, Su2rah. Chikezie Daniel Onwuchekwa who plays around with buttons and Ankara pieces to great effect on contemporary outfits, opened up on the ‘Afrocentric Look’. Loyaute Couture, the brainchild of two friends, Mowale Ajose-Adeogun and Ada Okwuonu, came into limelight. And just last week, Molly Brown opened up about her Ophelia Parle brand.
The concept of YNaija’s Cutting Edge, stems from a huge need to to celebrate young Nigerians who own start-up businesses in the fashion industry. Having profiled some of the brightest minds that are relatively unknown, it is time to propel one of them further, by voting him/her in the Cutting Edge competition for this quarter.
The overall winners will get a full page feature in Y! Magazine and also be a guest on the hit TV show, Rubbin’ Minds (under Y! TV).

Chikezie Daniel has got what it takes in the fashion industry, I therefore support him based on this fact.
Chekezie is doin a great work with his buttons n ankara,it is totally different.it gives the ankara a very uniqueness of it's own. He is really great.
