A woman in Taraba has been arrested by police in the state after it was alleged that she murdered her own children.

Halima Asar Tsar, is said to have stabbed her newborn set of twins and then dumped them in a neighbour’s toilet.

The father of the suspect was contacted and he is said to have stated that his daughter killed her children because they were premature.

LEADERSHIP gathered that the owner of the toilet, Mrs Evelin Joseph, of the same address, went to the toilet on that fateful morning and discovered the babies in her toilet and immediately alerted the police.

When the twins were taken out of the toilet, it was discovered that they had been stabbed to death.

When our correspondent visited Halimat’s father, Mr Asar Tsar, in his residence in Mutum Biyu, he confirmed that the twins were born prematurely, saying that instead of allowing the babies to undergo incubation, she decided to kill them.
