TICKER: Former megachurch employee walks into house of worship and opens fire, killing volunteer

One person was shot and killed Wednesday morning at a Georgia megachurch, cops said.

The victim was a male volunteer at World Changers Church International in College Park, WXIA-TV reported.

The suspect, identified as 52-year-old Floyd Palmer, walked into the church before the 10 a.m. service and opened fire as the victim was leading prayer, Fulton County Police Cpl. Kay Lester said.

He then left and fled the scene in a Subaru, according to WSFA-TV. Palmer is reportedly a former church employee who left in August.

World Changers is led by televangelist Creflo Dollar, who was arrested in June for allegedly choking and punching his teenage daughter.
