Two days back, Don Jazzy trended briefly at number 3 worldwide. And no, it wasn’t for dropping another party banger, the ace producer made news for engaging in the sequel of verbal wars with some of his followers.

He posted a tweet following the news that the one week strike against the removal of fuel subsidy had been called off. The last time anyone heard from him on the issue was about two weeks ago when he tweeted that he regretted voting the current government into power. He came under a backlash from his followers and this time was no different even though he might have been trying to work out a damage control technique.

The MoHits CEO posted a tweet that read: “The God that we serve sees all what happens behind close doors. One day breeze go blow and fowl yansh go open. Dem say strike is over. hmmm. May God be with us all… and on other issues. I missed you guys.”

Aww, an affectionate message but that was all it took for his followers to descend on him via the social networking site.

First, a certain tweeter with the handle, @dharyor, tweeted at him and said: “See @DONJAZZY ooo… After all dis days…”

Don Jazzy replied: “I dont get. na for twitter we go solve our problems?”

He could have easily returned to his silent routine after that but after another follower, @wcezy, asked him if he was happy that the strike was over, there was no stopping the verbal blows that followed.

@wcezy: “@DONJAZZY strike over. are u happy?”

@DONJAZZY: “Yes and No. we might not get another chance like this again to fight.”

Controversial singer, Kelly Hansome who has been in a few scrapes with Don Jazzy and his Mo’Hits crew took to his own Twitter account, @KellyHandsome and tweeted: ‘’Those that are the loudest in their threats are the weakest in their actions, meaning when I’m silent, Run!! Even if you’re a Don, Run.’’

He continued, ‘’Holding a walking stick don’t make you a Don. Na who fight for war front dey know the real sound of a Gun. Don’t be my scapegoat..LMFAO’’

Being the colourful character that Don Jazzy is, he tweeted: ‘’I don talk the matter finish mehn. If u still dey vex for me, check ur head. Good day.’’

@MonsieurUwem: “Baba no vex @DONJAZZY people are just frustrated o.”

Don Jazzy tweeted back: “Who isnt? u think im not?”

As more and more tweeters got on his case, he found it hard to respond to them one on one and resorted to tweeting general responses, it definately felt like the most we’ve ever heard directly from him. Some of them included:
