Lagos government oficials have confirmed that a 40 year old Liberian is suspected of carrying the Ebola virus, as well as 20 others who have had possible contact. The government said this at a briefing held this afternoon.

According to them, the victim has been isolated and the hospital cordoned off in line with cautionary measures already in place to stop the outbreak of the disease, the health commissioner, Jide Idris said.

Over 600 people across West African countries Liberia and Sierra Leone have died since the outbreak began in February.
