They may have gotten off to a rocky start, but in the end, she said yes.
A man uploaded a video to Vimeo on Thursday showing himself proposing to his unsuspecting girlfriend on what appeared to be a hike.
He pretended to take a photo of the couple and their puppy during a break near a boulder, but had actually started recording a video. When he got down on one knee, his girlfriend didn’t seem so amused. Watch the video above to see her reaction.
The man posted the video to Reddit Friday, and many users left their congratulations for the newly-engaged couple.
“And now I’m all sniffly at work, seriously was on the edge of my seat the whole time,” CorgisaurusRex commented. “Wonderful idea and I’m going to echo everyone else by saying I loved the look on her face as she noticed the box.”
The man responded to a few of the commenters, and said he was nervous and had “shaky hands” while he was trying to dig the ring out of his backpack.
“Thanks! It’s a tear jerker. We’ve watched it multiple times and it’s still hard to control the water works,” he wrote from his Reddit account, BigO25, in response to one comment of congratulations.
