Don Jazzy has put paid to the hopes of fans who are expecting another creative musical collaboration between him and his former label partner, D’banj.

A widely read soft-sell magazine had reported that the Kanye West, the G.O.O.D Music CEO is making moves to reconcile the two Nigerian musical superstars by persuading them to make music together again.

When asked to confirm reports of a reconciliation between him and D’banj on the social networking site, Twitter, Don Jazzy denied the story saying it is “false”.

Tension started mounting between both former label mates when D’banj expressed his preference to align with Kanye ‘s G.O.O.D Music crew, a move he believes will expose his brand of music to a larger international audience while Don Jazzy pushed for a consolidation of their achievements at home in Nigeria in a bid to grow the music label organically.

However, despite the challenges to their musical partnership, both men have claimed that their personal relationship remains intact and devoid of rancour.

Don Jazzy’s Mavin record label boasts star artistes  Wande Coal, Dr. Sid, Tiwa Savage, and others.
