Armed militants suspected to be Boko Haram members today set the office of a telecoms operator on fire in Maiduguri, Borno State.

They are reported to have killed four people and also set nine telecommunications masts ablaze.

The North East region of the country has been a theatre of violence for some time and a centre of  Boko Haram insurgent activities.
