They are two of the most glamorous women in the world, their every outfit forensically examined by fashionistas – and each will give birth to her first child in July.

But when it comes to the style stakes, any similarities between the Duchess of Cambridge and reality star Kim Kardashian end there.

Kate, 31, has always been the epitome of elegance and at six months is still svelte, with a barely-visible Royal bump. She has also stayed loyal to her classic dress style, favouring demure wrap dresses and beautifully tailored coats.

Kim appears to have taken it less easily in her high-heeled stride. The 32-year-old star of Keeping Up With The Kardashians – pregnant by rapper Kanye West – always favoured fitted outfits which flaunt her curves. But now she has tried a more subdued style and the result is meltdown.
