BREAKING: Associated Airlines plane carrying late Agagu’s body crashes in Lagos (PHOTOS)

There are indications that an Associated Airlines aircraft has crashed at the Murtala Mohammed Domestic Terminal leaving an unknown number of casualties.

Sources say the light plane, which was carrying the body of the late former governor of Ondo state, Olusegun Agagu, burst into flames with fire trucks deployed to put out the fire.

There are reports that 8 persons were on board which included two men and six women, one of the men was said to be Agagu’s son.

The plane which was supposed to have an emergency landing but it reportedly crash-landed instead.

Yakubu Datti, the spokesman of the Nigeria aviation agencies, has asked for more time to get concrete details of the accident.

The circumstances surrounding the unfortunate incident are yet to be confirmed but we shall bring you details as we get them.

However, Segun Demuren, the son of Harold Demuren, an Aeronautical engineer and former Director General of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority has tweeted his own account of the crash:

Update: The crashed plane had eight persons on board – two men and six women. One of the men was believed to be late governor Olusegun Agagu’s son.
