#Danacrash: FG suspends Dana Air license

The license of Dana airline has been suspended indefinitely. The spokesman of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), Sam Adurogboye, made the disclosure today.

He said that the suspension order was issued Monday night by the Minister of Aviation, Stella Oduah, and takes immediate effect. This is to enable the NCAA carry out its investigations.

Mr Adurogboye said that Dana Air had already complied with the order.

Also, the Nigeria Senate at its sitting on Monday called on the Federal Government to immediately withdraw Dana’s license and suspend the DG of the NCAA, Mr Harold Demuren.

It would be recalled that a Dana Flight 9J-922 had crashed in Lagos on Sunday killing all 146 passengers on board and seven crew members. It landed in a residential area at the Iju-Ishaga suburb of Lagos killing a yet to be ascertained number of people.
