The Wheatbaker Hotel, Ikoyi was yesterday filled with Nigerian pop culture pacesetters to celebrate the launch of Ndani TV’s The Juice hosted by delectable, Tolu ‘Toolz’ Oniru.

The Juice which made its mark as an online interview programme hosting the likes of D’banj, Don Jazzy, Tonto Dikeh, Wizkid and many more, is making a natural transition into the world of Cable TV with its debut edition coming up by 8pm tonight on DSTV channel 151.

The launch of the new and improved pop culture programme was witnessed by the usual suspects, Toke Makinwa, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, Noble Igwe and many others including Gbemi Olateru-Olagbegi, Tunde Demuren, Niyola, Adebola Williams, Sasha P, Kemi ‘Lala’ Akindoju, Isoken Ogiemwonyi, Yemi Black and many others.

The fun-filled launch also featured performances from Seyi Shay who set the ball rolling, another by Yemi Alade, who still can’t find ‘her’ Johnny, and yet another by the Limpopo master, Kcee. The ‘Pull over’ singer was accompanied by Harry Songs who also gave a good account of himself.

Here are the top 10 things you should know about yesterday’s launch of Ndani TV’s The Juice. Enjoy!

 

– Tolu ‘Toolz’ Oniru, the host of The Juice chose Rubbin’ Minds host, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu for a mock interview and was it revealing or what?

 

– Toolz asked Ebuka who is most remarkable guest on Rubbin’ Minds was and his answer was “Wacomzy, no doubt!”

“I asked him to mention all the artistes he thinks were whack and he spilled.”

 

– The Rubbin’ Minds host also gave away a little bit more information than he planned to when he squealed about his ‘relationship’ with controversial actress, Tonto Dikeh.

“She used to stay in Satellite Town while I stayed in Festac. We are friends and we hung out quite a bit,” he said.

“And did you guys ‘hang out’  with your clothes on?” asked Toolz in her usual cheeky manner.

“Yes, we hung out with our clothes on but alcohol was involved,” Ebuka replied. Okay, thanks Ebuka, now we know!

 

– Ebuka also gave reasons why he’ll never appear in any music video after the ‘Lagos Party’ video with Banky W and a few others.

“I look stupid in every video I’ve been in,” he says.

 

– And you’ll never guess what OAP, Omalicha wants to do to Ebuka if or when she has the chance. Hear her: “If I have the chance I’d like to touch his bum.” Yes, you read that right, ‘touch Ebuka’s bum’.

And did she get the chance to? Yep, she sure did!

– Toolz wanted to know if Niyola would go on a date with handsome Ebuka and her answer was yes after a bit of an hesitation. For that she gets a non-Christian hug from the Rubbin’ Minds hunk and was it a long one or what?!

And the hug goes on….

– And for those who have longed to see Toolz twerk like… never mind, you missed. Well, kinda.

Limpopo master, Kcee was on stage with his partner in crime Harry Songs and they tried to make Toolz do the twerk after Toke Makinwa got a friendly no from her. Not when the ‘Oloye’, Capt. Tunde Demuren is watching.

Toolz, however, whet Kcee’s appetite with a little something-something…. Go Toolz, go Toolz….

– Kcee organised a mini dance competition promising to give the best dancer… wait for it… $1,000!

Seyi Shay, wearing a black top and super-tight brown pants, was also on stage to show the audience what she’s got.
