by Isi Esene

As part of activities to mark Nigeria’s 52nd Independence from colonial rule, President Goodluck Jonathan will tomorrow address the nation by 7am tomorrow.

This bit was disclosed by the special adviser to the president on Media and Publicity, Reuben Abati, who urged all television stations to hook on to the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) for clean feed, while radio stations should hook on to the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN).

He said the president would also watch a ceremonial Change of Guards by the Nigerian Army’s Brigade of Guards, at the State House, Abuja.

According to Abati, the Change of Guards will be witnessed by several government officials which include the vice president, Mohammed Namadi Sambo; Senate president, Sen. David Mark; speaker, House of Representatives, Hon. Aminu Tambuwal and Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Justice Aloma Mukhtar.

Others who are expected to be at the event are former heads of state, members of the diplomatic corps, top political leaders and government officials.
