The Kogi State police command has arrested two politicians said to be involved in the Deeper Life Bible Church attacks at Otite.

The state’s commissioner of Police, Mohammadu Katsina, on Thursday said the command has identified the perpetrators of the attack which killed 20 people during a church service.

Both politicians arrested are former local government chairmen in the state. One of them, Alhaji Yahaya Kuraku, was the former local government chairman of Okene LGA and presently a special adviser to the governor of the state, Idris Wada. The other suspect arrested was the chairman of Okehi LGA.

Katsina had indicated on Wednesday that the attack was unconnected to the Boko Haram militant group who are known for perpetuating violent acts similar to the Deeper Life Church attack.

Reports indicate that the two former local government chairmen have been taken to Abuja for further interrogation.

Mohammadu Katsina assured that the police is prepared to unravel the reasons behind the attack and bring all those involved in the crime to book.

  2. @ wale adaja. I have one word to describe you: FOOL.

  3. You ‘ll soon discover they are boko harams, this reminds me of Dele Giwa(of blessed memory);‘any evil done by man to man shall be redressed,if not by man then by God,if not now ‘certainly‘ later, for victory of evil over good can only be temporal.

  4. God will expose them for real, but we need to understand that islam is the predator of this crime. Quran is full of hate verses calling for the destruction of unbelievers (Christians, Jews and Pagans) and justifying these evil acts with Allah`s promise of unlimited sex with virgins/Houris of Jannah as reward for muslims that make it to heaven with Kaffir`s blood on their hands.

  5. In asmuch so called our leaders can do this, then i dont blame boko haram. There is carnivours in this system may God save us.

  6. may God help us.I just hope something meaningful comes out

  7. God will expose all the perpetrators of this wickedness and surely, nemesis will catch up with them.amen
