The Blackberry/YNaija #Hashtag event at the Oriental Hotel in Lekki lived up to its billing with the attendance of celebrities and fans of arguably the most widely used smartphone device in the country, Blackberry.

The event which was compered by Andre Blaze and Isio Wanogho had in attendance Nigeria’s music sensation, Ice Prince, who gave a sensational peformance; fast-rising music star, Mo’cheddah; the rapper, Vector, Uti Nwachukwu, Toke Makinwa, Toni Kan, Matse, Joseph Benjamin, and others.

A representative of the event organisers, Alex Yangs, said they have toured the six geopolitical zones of the country before coming up with the new Blackberry campus ambassadors namely; IB, Onyinye, Sharon, Hot-Chocolate, TJ, Bube, Tesa, Cinchy, Didi, Nkem, Rasaq, and Cyril.

To spice up the event and make it even more audience participatory, there was an impromptu catwalk session by eleven of the best dressed attendees with three winners getting new Blackberry smartphone devices.

Many attendees expressed their satisfaction at the organisation of the event and say they look forward to the next one billed for December this year.
