Tragedy struck yesterday on board a United Airlines flight heading to Atlanta from Lagos. The flight had to be suspended midway after it was discovered that one of the passengers had died during the flight.

The plane reportedly left Lagos at about 11pm yesterday on its way to Atlanta in the United States. However, the death of the passenger, reportedly male, led to a temporary delay of the flight.

Due to the unfortunate incident the plane was reportedly diverted for an emergency landing at Dakar, Senegal where the body was properly wrapped and kept in the toilet of the plane to avoid immediate decomposition or any foul smell for the remaining of the journey.

The United Airlines plane was reported to have finally landed at its destination a few hours ago after a very long delay. The cause of death and the identity of the passenger are still unknown.
