The Notting Hill Carnival is an annual event that has taken place on the streets of Notting Hill since 1965, it has attracted around one million people in the past years, making it the 2nd largest street festival in the world.

This year’s carnival will be spiced up with a re-invented Nigerian Corner which promises to be a blast for fun-seekers with an eye for class as the show promoters and its project partners have put every measure in place to ensure an event never to forget.

The Nigeria Corner Spot will serve as a meeting point for Nigerians at the world famous carnival to celebrate Nigeria, network, re-connect, eat, drink, dance, and be merry as top class artistes provide entertainment.

Founding member and veteran of the Nigerian Corner, and producer of the event, Ayo Shonaiya could not hide his excitement at organising the upcoming carnival saying “This year’s edition is going to be big, and our designated and licensed site at Adela Street is the place to be for all Nigerians in London on Monday the 27th of August.”

Performing and entertaining the crowd at the Nigeria Corner this year will be rapper Muna, Reminisce (Kako Bi Chicken), Olamide (Eni Duro), Sir Shina Peters, and others.

The event, which is sponsored by Western Union, will be anchored by another Nigerian Corner veteran DJ Abass, alongside comedians Wale Gates and Buchi with music blasting from the turn-tables of several Nigerian DJs in the UK.

So, if you’ve got plans to party on the streets of London next Monday, the Nigerian Corner at Adela Street is definitely the place to be!
