A woman in Ikorodu, Lagos identified previously as Mama Ifunanya but now known as Rosemary Chukwu was arrested for allegedly attempting to kidnap her neighbour’s young son.

The suspect was said to have confessed that her pastor had asked her to bring the child and this led to the discovery of a ritualists’ den in the Majidun area.

The neighbours of Chukwu expressed shock at the development as she was said to have become famous for her noisy prayers. One neighbour said:

“She would shout and scream and make noise while praying. She makes everybody uncomfortable. That is what everybody knows about her here. This is why we are still in shock about what she did”

When Chukwu was caught she allegedly said:

“Pastor Ernest sent me! Please don’t kill me, Pastor Ernest sent me o!”

This turned out to be Pastor Ernest Nwankwo of the Holy Family Happy Family Ministry (House of Mercy) who is pictured above.

Residents of the area were said to have observed that the church was not a normal one as services only held on Tuesdays and Thursdays never on Sundays.
